It's a great day to spread kindness in Tate County!

The SSAC is sponsoring a district-wide Kindness Challenge to encourage a culture of support and compassion. Students in grades 5-12 will participate. Teachers will award tickets to students caught showing kindness to others, and the grade level with the most tickets each month will win a prize.
We look forward to seeing our students lead by example and make a positive impact in our schools.

Tate County School District is growing! We are excited to announce openings for a Pre-K Teacher and a Pre-K Assistant to join our team.

This new Pre-K program will be hosted at Coldwater Elementary and is available to all Pre-K aged children residing in Tate County. Please note that program space will be limited. We look forward to expanding our early childhood opportunities and supporting our youngest learners.

Coldwater Elementary students gained valuable insights into the financial world during a visit from Diana Herdt of First Security Bank, as part of the A Banker in Every Classroom program. This presentation introduced students to the fundamentals of banking and the professional opportunities available within the finance industry. Early exposure to financial literacy is a critical step in preparing our youth for future economic independence and community leadership. We are grateful for community partners who take the time to mentor the next generation of workers. These interactions help students connect their current classroom studies to real-world career paths.

It's a great day for clinicals in Tate County. Our Health Sciences students at the Senatobia-Tate Career Technical Center are taking their learning beyond the classroom and into the community through their clinical rotations.

These students are working alongside healthcare professionals to apply the skills and knowledge they have acquired in the lab. This hands-on training is a vital step in preparing them for future careers in the medical field, showing their commitment to excellence and their desire to serve others. We are proud of the professionalism and dedication these students display as they represent our district in local medical facilities.

Independence High School was proud to welcome back 2020 graduate Kasey McDowell to our College and Career Readiness classes today. As a journeyman electrician at Tri-State Armature Electrical, Mr. McDowell shared his expertise on electrical flow and the function of circuit breakers. Students enjoyed the hands-on opportunity to use professional tools and learn the mechanics of lighting a bulb. It is rewarding to see our alumni returning to help prepare the next generation for successful careers in the trades. We appreciate Mr. McDowell for investing his time and knowledge into the future workforce of Tate County.

He shows incredible diligence while serving on our Tech Team, keeping our Chromebooks and carts in top shape.
