The Superintendent Student Advisory Council recently met on September 11th to discuss how legislation impacts our schools. Students also completed the same legislative survey that our School Board Members fill out, ensuring their voices and perspectives are part of the process.

It’s a great day to learn HVAC in Tate County! At the Senatobia-Tate Career Technical Center, students in the HVAC program are gaining valuable skills that prepare them for future careers. They learn the fundamentals in the classroom and then put their knowledge into action with hands-on training alongside their instructor.

The September 9th Tate County School Board meeting was held in the Strayhorn Cafeteria.
During the meeting, Strayhorn Elementary and Strayhorn High School recognized their highest state test performers, including students who achieved perfect scores. The Jr. Beta Club was also recognized for their outstanding achievements at Nationals in Orlando.
Baylee Brister and Macy Ricks led the Pledge of Allegiance, and senior Aleigha Whittle served as the board representative from the Superintendent Student Advisory Council.

Meet Casey, a true team player both in and out of the classroom! She is a dedicated Law & Public Safety student and has proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in her community for the past two years. Casey uses her real-world experience to help her classmates by teaching skills she’s learned on the job and has even been selected as her class’s team leader.
Last year, she represented our CTC at the SkillsUSA State Competition in Jackson, earning 2nd place in the firefighting competition! Casey is a shining example of leadership, service, and excellence—an outstanding representative of what our CTC stands for. #TogetherAchievingTeamExcellence
