All Tate County Schools will be closed Monday, October 5 through Friday, October 9 for Fall Break.

Every single school in the Tate County School District achieved a student attendance rate of 95% or higher throughout the month of August. Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making showing up a top priority.

Grey has handled the jump to 7th grade exceptionally well! While transitioning to middle school can be tough, Grey hit the ground running and leads his grade with the highest number of positive behavior points. His great choices, strong character, and leadership make him a fantastic role model for his peers. We are so proud of his amazing effort and success!

September is Attendance Awareness Month, and every day counts!
Please take a moment to review important updates to our attendance policy for the 2026–2027 school year, in compliance with recent state legislative actions:
    •    Daily Presence: Students must be present for at least 66% of the school day to be counted present.
    •    Excused Absences: Limited to 5 excused absences per semester.
    •    Doctor's Notes: A medical note is required starting after the 3rd absence.
    •    Unexcused Absence Thresholds:
    ◦    5 unexcused absences per semester will result in a mandatory report to the state.
    ◦    8 unexcused absences will result in a referral to the School Attendance Officer.
