School might be out for the summer, but our students certainly aren't slowing down!
Our students are putting in hours at summer workouts, soccer  and basketball games, band and cheer camp, while our Beta club members prepare for the National Beta Convention. The hard work and dedication never stop.

Attention parents and guardians of incoming 7th graders!

Per Mississippi state regulations, all students entering the 7th grade must have proof of a Tdap booster vaccine before the start of the school year.

Please ensure your child receives this required vaccination and provide an updated Mississippi Certificate of Immunization Compliance (Form 121) to the school in order to complete registration. You can obtain this form from your child's healthcare provider or the local health department.

Getting this turned in early helps ensure your student's schedule is ready to go for the first day of school! If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school office.

It's a great day to practice for your graduation ceremony in Tate County! Our seniors are putting in the final preparation today to make sure their big moment is absolutely perfect.
We are incredibly excited to celebrate the amazing Class of 2026. As a reminder, all graduation ceremonies will take place this Saturday, May 23, at the Northwest Coliseum. The schedule for the day is as follows:
    •    Independence High School: 10:00 am
    •    Strayhorn High School: 1:00 pm

We had a wonderful time celebrating our East Tate Elementary kindergarteners at their promotion ceremony today! Our little Wildcats have worked so hard all year long, and this was the perfect way to honor their success. Honoring One of Mississippi’s Best! At our May Board Meeting, we had the distinct honor of celebrating Kassie Isbell for being named the Congressional District 1 Finalist for Mississippi Parent of the Year.
